This sludge and silt is not only an unhealthy sight, but their harmful deposits are toxic so they will become a damaging breeding ground for nasty pathogenic bacteria. Using Sludge Answer regularly throughout the year, on both a well-established and newly created ponds will greatly assist in the maturation of filter systems.
