CDX, carbon dioxide adsorption media. Sometimes the carbon dioxide that accumulates in the air in closed buildings causes the pH of an aquarium to be low. We have the solution: it?s called CDX, a carbon dioxide adsorption system. Simply install CDX in our PhosBan reactor and connect it to the air intake of a protein skimmer, using a length of hose and our CDX adaptor to make the connection. The CO2-free air entering the protein skimmer soaks up excess CO2 dissolved in the aquarium water and so the aquarium?s pH rises.
